Submit a Formal Cancellation Request (Notice Period)
CRITICAL: You cannot just stop paying. You must formally request disconnection via the ACT Fibernet Selfcare portal, app, or by contacting customer support. Be aware that they may require a notice period of up to 30 days.
Clarify the Router & Hardware Return Process
VERY IMPORTANT: The WiFi router and associated hardware are usually the property of ACT. You must schedule a pickup with them. Ask for a receipt or confirmation email after the hardware has been collected to avoid any 'unreturned equipment' charges later.
Understand the Final Bill and Security Deposit
Your final bill will be calculated on a pro-rata basis. Any security deposit you paid at the beginning will be refunded to you after deducting any outstanding dues. Confirm the timeline for this refund.
Keep a Record of All Communication
When you submit your cancellation request, you will be given a service request or ticket number. Save this number. Keep a record of all emails and names of support staff you speak with until your final settlement is complete.
