Clever Ways to Save

1

The 'Cancellation Flow' Discount Offer

LinkedIn does not want to lose subscribers. During the cancellation process, after you provide a reason, they will very frequently present you with a special offer to stay, such as 50% off for the next two months. It's a reliable way to cut the cost.

2

The 1-Month Free Trial Reset

LinkedIn's free one-month trial offer often becomes available again to your account after a certain period of inactivity (typically a few months to a year). If you only need Premium for a short burst of job searching, you can often cancel and wait for the free trial offer to return.

3

The 'Win-Back' Email Campaign

After you cancel, keep an eye on your email. Within a few weeks, LinkedIn's marketing system often sends out a 'Come Back' offer with a significant discount to entice you to re-subscribe.

Pre-Cancellation Safety Checklist

You Will Lose All Unused InMail Credits

CRITICAL: Any accumulated InMail credits you have will be permanently forfeited the moment you cancel. If you have important messages to send, use all of your credits before you complete the cancellation process.

Your Profile and Connections Are 100% Safe

VERY IMPORTANT: Cancelling Premium has no effect on your profile, your connections, your posts, or your messages. Your account simply reverts to a standard, free account. You will not lose any core data.

You Lose Access to 'Who's Viewed Your Profile'

You will lose the ability to see the full list of who has viewed your profile in the last 90 days. Your access will revert to the limited free version, showing only the last few viewers.

Your LinkedIn Learning Access Ends

Your unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning courses will be revoked. While your course history and certificates of completion will be saved, you will no longer be able to watch the course videos.

What is the difference between Premium Career and Premium Business?

Premium Career is designed for job seekers, focusing on features like InMail and seeing who viewed your profile. Premium Business is for networking and lead generation, offering more InMail credits and advanced search filters.

Will recruiters see that I have cancelled my Premium account?

No. There is no feature that notifies anyone that you have cancelled. Your profile will simply no longer have the gold 'Premium' badge, and you will lose the associated features.

Can I get a refund for my LinkedIn Premium subscription?

Generally, no. LinkedIn Premium subscriptions are non-refundable. When you cancel, you are turning off the auto-renewal, and your premium access will continue until the end of your current billing cycle.

What happens to my LinkedIn Learning certificates if I cancel?

Your certificates are safe. Any certificate you have earned is permanently added to your LinkedIn profile and will remain visible even after you cancel your Premium subscription.
